october's career overview

On the 1st, your strategy for keeping up the good work at work is to stay as busy as possible. Yes, this is one of those days when if you let yourself get distracted, you might never get back on track. So stay as super-focused as you possibly can (and given your remarkable talents and capacities, you should be able to reach quite a level of concentration). On the 3rd, you need to finally address a problem that's been bothering you for a long time. Does your office neighbor need to stop blowing loud bubbles with their gum and letting them pop, pop, pop, seemingly every time you need to settle down and focus on your work? Does your boss need to stop slapping you on the back and calling you 'hound dog'? Tell them. On the 8th, the plans you make are very likely to succeed. On the 12th and 13th, don't worry if you feel a little slow on the uptake. By the 14th, 15th and 16th, you're pumped and ready to go, Hound Dog (oops, sorry). On the 22nd, you might misplace your car keys. Good thing you have a backup pair handy. On the 28th, get social -- it will further your career plans. On the 31st, end the month congratulating yourself for getting through a rocky patch at work.
